The Enemy in the Shadows (#21)

When Bella Carpenter's place of employment was closed down, she moved to her grandparent's old farmhouse. Her friends scattered in the winds, and she was trying to get her life back on track. In the middle of the night, the house became an inferno. As she was trying to escape, the house blew up and threw her several yards away. With a severe concussion, she was in the hospital for a few days. This also led her to meet an old friend. A few months later, her new house was vandalized. She began to suspect her old employers and warned her friends that it could happen to them. When another attempt was made on her house, she began to seriously wonder who was out to get her. When she realized the person was only after her and not her friends, Bella seldom left her home. The night she was shot was a turning point in her life. The enemy in the shadows was becoming more lethal. She had to do something drastic. So drastic she decided she had to die.
