SHATTERED LIVES (Book Ten)
SHATTERED LIVES is my newest read! And as a bonus, I am adding a short story to the back of the book. It is called Secrets of The Green River Swamp
Molly and Kendall's lives were shattered the day the accident occurred. As Molly physically heals, her mind blocks out the horror of the wreck and attempts to deal with tragedy unfolding in front of her. Knowing her husband's condition was fragile, it was all she could do to visit without breaking down. When the doctors told Molly her husband would live, she had to make the decision to either bring him home or place him in a facility. Their best friends stayed by their sides as Molly had to make some very important decisions. Between lawsuits and failed caregivers, Kendall's coma was the least of her worries. As Kendall lay unresponsive, Molly had to make decisions on how to continue their lives without Kendall's input Molly becomes stronger willed and eventually takes charge of their lives. Follow the challenges of how a split second accident can change one's lives forever.
Green River is a sleepy, quiet town known for a treacherous swamp with alligators waiting for a chance to feed on unsuspecting victims. For the safety of the community, Hank Wilson and his mother Margaret find themselves in a position to take on the alligators and attempt at winning the swamp back. The Nugent twins had been wreaking havoc on Green River for years. Their father, Sam, had taught the boys to be bullies and they lived up to their name. Tommy and Chuck finally meet their match when they pick on the wrong person. Decisions they made in their past finally catch up to them and their present decisions will drive their future. It's up to them to make the right choices.
Penny Manchin comes into both the Wilson's and the Nugent's lives. Almost dying, she struggled with her health and the mental anguish she had to tolerate to live. Dealing with nightmares and long term health issues, Penny works hard at returning to her previous healthy person.
As the families become intertwined, watch their lives as long term decisions are made.
